An Accountability Group

We are a group of creators that work together to help keep each other on track and reach our goals. This is a closed group, but this website exists to explain the system we are using for potential joins and anyone else who wants to mimic this system.

What is happening?

This will be a discord group in which 6 - 12 people who do creative arts (visual art, game dev, content creation, etc..) as a job or planning to, work together to keep each other accountable and work towards self-set goals to expand our work.Using Discord, we will have dedicated co-working times (and impromptu!) and a check in system to track your current work and your future goal progress. Optionally for every person, you will give permission for other members to tag you for friendly accountability check ins.We have nothing to boast like award-winning pro elite freelance artist advice, but this would be a space to discuss advice outside of physical artwork, in terms of dealing with client disputes, self-promotion and advertising help, and professional practices.

How long is this?

This will roll on as long as you want it, but we will be working in 3 month sections. We ask that if you want to join, try to participate for a few months and then you can decide if this isn't for you or you want to move on.The goals that you set will be only be for the next 3 months, where the next quarter you will reflect on how far you went and what achievable goals for the next month will be.Don't worry, maintaining your current flow without having to expand is still a goal!

Price?

Free! All that is asked is that you genuinely try and participate, and there's no hard feelings if you want to phase out of it and leave room for new people.

Current Discord Rules

- Be kind and respectful to all others, even those not in this server.- Respect other people's chosen names, pseudonyms, pronouns, and preferences; and keep information revealed in this server private unless they have specified otherwise.- If you vocalize that you are breaking your local laws on content you can create, or age restrictions on business, to protect other members from harm, you will be asked to leave.- There's not a hard ban on any topics, but please try and keep a positive and productive atmosphere. If any member is uncomfortable with a topic or an image posted, please be civil on moving the discussion elsewhere like to DMs, or deciding to disengage for a period of time.- Artistic Nudity is fine anywhere in the server, as long as it is spoilered. Explicit NSFW or Gore/Violence images must be put into an appropriate channel, which you must specify you want access to. Minors are not allowed in these channels. Mentions of NSFW things in terms of business discussion is allowed anywhere, just don't be explicitly descriptive.- As a server and a community, we are against exploitive things like crypto and AI. You may not work with us if you use LLMs and Image Generators in your work. All art here is bespoke. *(Continued in Guidelines)

Current Discord Guidelines

- Please give it a try in earnest, but it's okay if you aren't feeling it. Just allow room for others to take your space if we are at capacity. In the future, if there are enough of us, we can separate into multiple groups, but that's not a current worry.- At any point, you can suspend your status on being able to be tagged for individual check ins from other members. There will be no judgement for being overwhelmed, as likewise no member should shame another for not working on something.- When expressing frustrations with clients, but they otherwise are not breaking your ToS, avoid directly naming them. This server should be private, but please understand that there's always a chance that this information could leak out, which may reflect poorly on you and cause your client undue harm. However, warnings about specific clients who did break rules or did other suspect activities such as scamming are entirely fine to name.- *(See Rules) If you unwittingly participated in a project that is discovered to have used AI or crypto, and do not want to rescind your name/work in fear of monetary blow back, you have a right to that and you will not be ousted or pressured to rescind your attachment. If you are in a situation where you are still making bespoke artwork, but it's knowingly attached to a project or client that deals with AI/Crypto, if you really do need the money, we will not judge or shame you. Please tell us and let us help you if you are stuck in this situation though!
